About the Club
The Wolfeboro Tennis Club is a private club set in a quiet, wooded spot just five minutes from downtown Wolfeboro and Lake Winnipesaukee. We've been here since 1968, and over the years we've built both great courts and a community of people who truly love the game.
We have four Har-Tru courts — three with lights for evening play — open from May through October. Whether you've played for decades or are just getting started, there's a place for you here. We run tournaments, round robins, and social events all season long, and our on-site pro offers lessons for every level.
Memberships are open. We'd love to have you.
Why Join
Four Har-Tru clay courts, three with lights, kept in great shape all season. The soft surface is easy on your joints and perfect for the game.
Tournaments, round robins, and social events run all season and make it easy to meet people and find your rhythm. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to competitive players.
Set among tall trees and flowering gardens in the heart of the Lakes Region, just five minutes from Lake Winnipesaukee and downtown Wolfeboro.
I have been a member for over 20 years. Courts are in great shape, but even better than the courts is the great community we have built. Glad to be a part of this beautiful club.

Club Information
Our History
The club started in 1968 with ten determined men who refused to let tennis disappear from Wolfeboro. They cleared two abandoned clay courts on the Kingswood Golf Club property — overgrown with trees and old fence wire — signed a lease for $1.00 a year, and called it the Wolfeboro Racquet Club.
When the lease ended in 1988, the club didn't close — it moved. A donated piece of land off Route 28 and the hard work of its members led to the courts we play on today. That's when it became the Wolfeboro Tennis Club, and not a season has been missed since.
Today the club is run by a Board of Directors and kept alive by members who give their time — maintaining the courts, tending the gardens, running events, and showing up season after season.
